Something needs to know about aluminum profile bending process
The aluminum profile bending forming process has been widely applied in the manufacture of aluminum profile bending parts in aviation, aerospace, automobiles, and high-speed rail.
In the field of civil (aviation, high-speed rail, etc.), many skeleton parts use profile frames.
Therefore, the research on bending technology is of great significance for improving the quality of bent parts and accelerating the localization process of bent parts.
The aluminum profile bending process can make the parts obtain a reasonable shape correction allowance, improve the manufacturing accuracy of the parts, and reduce the manufacturing cost of the parts.
Bending refers to the forming process in which aluminum profile is pressed into the groove of the mold under the combined action of the bending moment and the longitudinal tension.
Aluminum profile bending is an important forming process in industrial production.
It is used to manufacture variable curvature aluminum extrusion and plate bending profile bending parts with large size, high shape accuracy and relatively large bending radius.
Here is the bending process as follows for bending aluminum profiles:
1. Incoming materials inspection
Check the size of aluminum profile section, flatness, length, and surface quality as required, and pay special attention to surface defects.
2. Milling
For the reverse T-shaped frame, the section of aluminum profile needs to be milled before bending.
In order to ensure that the size after the bending meets the requirements, we perform milling processing on the gantry milling machine, and the processing size reaches the nominal value +2mm.
3. Pre-bend
On the bending machine, the mill finish is pre-bent by controlling the bending parameters (bending force, bending angle, etc.) by using the bending die and the bending chuck to meet the pre-forming requirements.
4. Correcting
Check the flatness and angle of the two surfaces to ensure that these values meet the requirements.
For the R-value, a three-roller roll bending machine can be used to assist in correcting, and correcting it to our predetermined shape.
5. Inspection after pre-bending
Check that the flatness, angle, and section width of the two surfaces meet the requirements, and the R1000mm value reaches our predetermined shape.
6. Storage after quenching
In order to ensure the new quenched state of the aluminum alloy material, the parts need to be stored at a temperature lower than -10 °C before forming after quenching.
After the heat treatment, they should be stored in cold storage first. The temperature of the car should be lower than -10℃.
7. Rebend
On the bending machine, the semi-finished products are re-bent by controlling the parameters of the bending (bending force, bending angle, etc.) by using the bending die and the bending chuck to meet the final requirements;
According to the specific conditions of different parts, the side pulling and correcting can be selectively carried out to achieve the ideal shape and size in the re-bend process.
8. Finishing
On the inspection platform, use auxiliary tools such as a hammer for finishing, and when necessary, use the calibration inspection die for knocking repair.
9. Test
Use the inspection die with calipers and feeler gauges for inspection to ensure compliance with customer technical requirements and drawing requirements.
10. Cleaning
Use polishing tools such as scouring pads to decorate and clean the surface, and mark parts and test pieces to ensure traceability.
